More shots of Bessie's As Found condition. The first one is a shot of the front section. We're not sure what to call this area. We liked "the gaucho" but then we found out "the gaucho" specifically defines the front section that has a futon-like fold-out couch/bed instead of the other option, which is what we have: the dinette. "The dinette" sounds dumb. The dinette means we have two booths and a folding table (hinged on the wall) between them. The original 20-gallon stainless steel water tank rests under the window, covered in a protective wood box running along the wall. So this is what Bessie's Not-A-Dinette looked like. The cushions were present but smelly so we tossed them under the carport, destined for the trash can. The white planks you would sit on pop up to reveal more storage.
The bathroom counter. The pole is a vent to the sink/bathtub pipes. Look rotten? The window leaks. No problem, just live in California where it doesn't rain! Oops I live in Oregon.
Shot of the cabin section and bathroom from the galley section. Ah the transformation begins. The single mattresses are also removed and laying about with the couch mattresses. Stinky, moldy, and mildewy. Good shot of the drawers that slide underneath the bed frames.
